Judy Byrne, Scottish but born in Sleaford Lincolnshire because father stationed at RAF Cranwell at end of war. Graduated Glasgow University 1967. Worked for Oxfam then took BEd at Oxford University 1972. Helped  create then taught Philosophy degree at Manchester Poly; then Manchester Business School and then became Asst Chief Executive at Equal Opportunities Commission. hree years at Open University Business School then set up Media Minds, media training company for Board members of public and private organisations. Now semi-retired and living in East Sussex with family nearby.
